承接上集的內容，Miss Carol繼續解答學生及讀者有關文法混淆的來信。
5）This cutlery set is of 10 pieces. or This cutlery set is with 10 pieces.
在英語的用法中of是指構成集合的東西，而with是指包含再集合的東西。「of」可以說是整體整個集合一起；而「with」可能只是集合的一部分。
在以上兩個句子中，of及with也可以交替使用。但在某些情況下便不能，例如：
The lady with a pink hat is my grandmother.
當中的with是指與這女士一起的意思。不能以of代替。
另一個例子：
Most of the students left the classroom.
這個of意思就是指事情的一部分與其整體的關係。這個人不可以with代替。
6）For you or to you ?
兩個情況也可以使用，最主要視乎上下文及想表達的事情是什麼。
I wrote this letter to you.我寫這封信給你。
I wrote this letter for you.我幫你寫這封信。
相信比較多讀者混淆的地方是在不同情況下，使用to and for也不是太清晰。
兩個基本原則是：
1.如果對方是受益於一些恩惠或服務（the person benefits from a favour or a service），我們會用「for」。
The gift is for her.
I sent this gift for him.
2.如果是有關轉移給別人的東西（a transfer of something to someone），我們會用「to」。例如：
Please pass this note to my students.
The teacher gave some extra exercises to students.
基本而言，我們會把動詞放在「to」後邊，名詞（noun and noun phrases）會放在「for」後邊。例子：
I am here to collect my Christmas parcel.
You are here for the class.
The certificate is for ensuring quality of the product.
當然To及For的用法相當廣闊，建議讀者在網上及主流可靠的字典當中翻查用法。
7）In this paper, it discusses...or The paper discusses...
這個不是文法的問題，反之是有關寫作技巧。Topicalisation是很多學生的寫作通病，若果句子開首的時候已經把題目確定，那便不需要再重複。「The paper discusses...」已經可以了。同樣，「By using this strategy, it can encourage readers...」，「this strategy」及「it」指同一個內容，所以只需要寫「This strategy encourages readers...」。
